The War Collections are a series of community collection and academic collaboration projects run by the University of Oxford since 2008 aimed at preserving and commemorating the histories of the First and Second World Wars. The projects have created extensive digital archives of materials related to the wars, including poetry manuscripts, audio, film, and photographs from the First World War; educational resources about WW1; community-contributed stories, objects, and mementos from both wars; and records of Oxford during WW1. The collections provide rich resources for researching, understanding, and remembering these major historical events. Ongoing projects continue to collect stories and materials from the Second World War before they are lost.
